REHYDRATE

Hydrating your body is a key element in your performance during and after your workouts. I have learned this lesson the hard way.  I remember training for my first marathon, (LONG time ago) my running partner and I only drank water (we were clueless). After our 15 plus mile runs we would cool down and then, I would walk home. I was hunched over as I walked, because my gut hurt so bad, my fingernails would turn blue, and would have diarrhea (sorry TMI).  I would get home and lay on kitchen floor until I felt a bit better to get up and shower. I would end up going back to bed, because I was useless after these long runs.  It was terrible, I remember thinking my body was not built to run long distance……………………well that was not the reason…… I was severely dehydrated after those 2-3 hour runs.  As Oprah says “you know better you do better”, I have come a long way from my Hunchback of Notre Dame days. Before any type of long workout, or workout in the summer heat, I make sure I am well hydrated before, during, and after the workout.

Rehydrating your body with an electrolyte replacement drink is a MUST in these hot temperatures.  This morning I rode 24 miles on my bike, I was dripping sweat from every part of my body………… it was not a pretty site.   I was drinking AdvoCare Rehydrate  and had an Advocare Gel Pack for the long ride.  I felt amazing after I was done, I did not feel tired and I know with 100% certainty it was because I stayed hydrated.

While riding, I was drinking Rehydrate, which delays the onset of fatigue, and hydrates your body by re-establishing your electrolyte balance. Rehydrate has a 1:1 ratio of sodium and potassium, two of the most vital electrolytes that are lost when we sweat. Rehydrate can help prevent cramping by providing calcium, magnesium and L-glutamine to support the contraction and relaxation phases of the muscles. Overall, Rehydrate includes antioxidants A and C, carbohydrates, electrolytes, Sustamine and other nutrients that effectively promote optimal hydration and recovery.
